In the vibrant atmosphere of Noisebridge Hackerspace, nestled in the heart of San Francisco's Mission District, Hack Comedy took its first steps in 2018. This innovative venture was conceived with the belief that comedy should not be limited by convention, and that alternative ideas and creative expression should find a home on the stage. At Hack Comedy, we've always encouraged comedians to think beyond traditional routines and actively create something unique for the show.

At Noisebridge Hackerspace, we enabled comedians to explore their wildest ideas, allowing them to play out live sketches and demo comedic video games they've personally crafted. Much like the hackerspaces' philosophy of providing a collaborative environment for people to build things, Hack Comedy extended that spirit to comedy, fostering an atmosphere of exploration and experimentation.
In 2023, Hack Comedy found a new home at Hacker Dojo in San Jose, continuing its tradition of pushing the boundaries of comedy and technology. With every show, we've been eagerly experimenting with the latest AI technologies. From voice emulation AI to ChatGPT bots, AI art generation, AI facial recognition, Arduino boards, and more, we've embraced the cutting edge.
